Terry Walters has such a passion for fresh food and such an imaginative approach to recipes that I didn’t even realize this was a vegan cookbook until I was halfway through the “Summer” section. (The recipes are arranged by seasons.) Her commonsense, delicious suggestions prove that plant-based foods are unlimited in their possibilities, even for those of us who do enjoy the occasional lamb chop or pork roast. While I’m a big believer in using REAL animal products (eggs from pastured hens, milk from grass-fed cows) in our everyday cooking, I also think the majority of us could make much better use of the produce section that we do…and Terry’s simple-yet-innovative recipes are a great way to do that. I can’t wait to try her Ginger Pear Sauce with my next batch of homemade ice cream!
